Here are some clients' experience: pain relief, such as sinus congestion, migrain headaches, cramps, minor cuts and bruises, cracked ribs. Emotional release has occured in many clients and they felt as if a weight (block) was lifted. One claimed that she was able to conceive after a couple of treatments and called her baby the "Reiki baby". Others have experienced stress relief, deep relaxation and a deep sense of peace. Some could not describe their experience, but knew that some kind of energy shift occured. Many people fall asleep during a treatment.

The Reiki session experience:
Debbie takes great care in preparing a healing space. Distractions are minimized with soft music, candles and aromatherapy when appropriate. Clients are always fully clothed, emptying pockets and removing jewelry and shoes. There is no muscle manipulation, but Debbie uses a light touch with her client's permission to establish a strong energetic connection. Debbie will have a short consultation with her client before the first session to establish trust and exchange information about any issues that the client may want to address.
At the beginning of a session, Debbie gently places her hands top of the client's head and Reiki energy comes in through her hands into the client. Debbie works on the client from head to feet, placing her hands lightly on the client, and addresses the entire body to promote overall balance. Reiki energy is self-directed and goes to the areas that are in need. Debbie ends her treatment at the top of the head and smoothes out the energy field to facilitate healing and bring the body back into balance. Afterward, the client will relax for a minute or two for quiet comtemplation.
