Past Events
Reiki Awareness Day, held on November 6th, 2011 is an educational symposium that brings practitioners together to network and keep abreast of techniques, philosophies, and current events.Together, we can build the Reiki community in the Chicago area and create an awareness about what Reiki is and how it can help people to bring back the balance that has been missing for so long. This was the 3rd year that Reiki Awareness Day has been held.

Educating the public to promote Reiki awareness
Our group will meet to discuss ways to promote Reiki awareness in the Chicagoland area. Reiki practitioners know that Reiki works to help reduce stress and release negative energy and there are some scientific studies that confirm that Reiki helps to reduce pain and stress in animals and humans. We will help to educate the public on the benefits of Reiki and promote Reiki awareness in a professional way.
Empowering practitioners as a group
There is strength in numbers and together we can form a strong voice in our community. As we will learn how to develop our strengths and communicate on the same level, we will use the same tools, convey the same message as a community and put our egos aside. We will have thoughtful discussions about our practice and how we can improve ourselves so that we can help others.
Uniting Reiki practitioners as one to use our energy for the greatest good
Our planet needs healing and Reiki practitioners have the ability to help. By unifying our community, we can draw our energies together and send Reiki at a higher level. Together we can make a difference in ourselves and the world to create the change that is about to come. Uniting as a Reiki community will help people understand what Reiki is and how it can benefit them spiritually, emotionally and physically. With one message, one voice, Reiki will be more easy to explain to the clinical world, develop more consistency and create a stronger credibility for Reiki practitioners.
If we are on the same page and follow the Reiki principles, we can help many people open up to the idea of self-healing through this amazing modality.
